Whether you want to paint or draw, the Costanza Art Studio is a space for creative expression made for you, beginner or experienced.
The goal is for the student to improve their observation skills and learn to deconstruct complex visual information into large and small shapes, shadows and lights.
Discover the secrets of color and all the steps needed to create a still life, landscape or portrait of your choice. If you are a beginner, don't be intimidated, the course takes place in a spirit of discovery and experimentation.
After a first lesson entirely dedicated to the preparation and mastery of colors, I will guide you step by step in the creation of your work.
We start at the beginning with gestural drawing in painting with a dry brush technique. Then, using the limited palette of a few earth colors and some cadmiums, color is introduced to focus on the large form (called Big-Form Modeling).
Practice is the best exercise to learn to paint, or to draw, to tame your color palette, to use oil paint and handle your brush.
Then we work on a subject of your choice such as a landscape, a still life or a portrait. It is about constructing your painting by applying the great principles of composition and the rules of perspective.

PREPARATION FOR ADMISSION TO ART SCHOOLS AND CREATION OF PORTFOLIOS
Preparatory Training / Portfolio
We offer a preparatory workshop for those who wish to acquire the necessary foundations for the entrance exams to Swiss and international art schools.
The workshop, which includes classes three days a week, offers expertise, dynamism and professionalism in a curriculum that will allow you to enter Swiss and European art schools after the development of a personal file.
This apprenticeship is intended for young adults wishing to move towards training provided by a university in the art and culture professions. In addition to the technical elements, the objective of this training is also to develop an openness to the world of art, expressions in the fields of fashion, fine arts and visual communication.
Students will be supported for three months (minimum) to one year so that they can acquire the necessary foundations to prepare for the entrance exams to Swiss and international art schools. They will also benefit from critical and technical assistance in building their portfolio.
The courses develop values such as trust, openness, dialogue, perseverance and rigor. It is therefore required that all students demonstrate a strong personal commitment and a lot of motivation.
The objectives of the workshop are as follows:

Creation of pencil or ink sketches

Use of colored pencils and charcoals.

Mastery of watercolor and oil painting techniques (acrylic as needed)

Mornings are dedicated to technical courses (work and explanations targeted to the needs of each student) and afternoons are dedicated to individual work by students to build their portfolio.

Costanza Papasogli Tacca
MY ART
Costanza Papasogli Tacca was born in Pisa in 1980. After high school, she enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence in 1999 and studied with the teacher and painter Giulietti. She spent two years there and in 2001 she began her studies at the Florence Academy of Art. She completed the three-year diploma in painting in 2004, and the fourth year of specialization in 2005. In the same year, she participated in the first annual exhibition of alumni at the Corsini family stables in Florence.
“My ideas come from nature and the beauty of the countryside around Pisa where I was born. I like to represent the gestures of everyday life, especially country life. My greatest satisfaction is to be able to paint the natural beauty composed of the lines, colors and nuances of what surrounds me. I learned from a young age to appreciate beauty, harmony and refined taste; for this reason my love of detail and beauty becomes the subject of my still lifes.
MY METHODOLOGY
The reason I am an artist is for the feeling that comes with creating. Having ideas in my head and seeing them manifest into something physical, something tangible, is what makes art truly worthwhile. My ideas come from nature and the beauty of the countryside surrounding Pisa in Tuscany where I was born. I love to represent the gestures of everyday life, especially country life.
My greatest satisfaction is to be able to paint the natural beauty made of lines, colors and nuances of what surrounds me. I was taught from a young age to appreciate beauty, harmony and refined taste; that is why my love for details and beauty becomes the subject of my still lifes. When I paint a portrait, I am captured by the beauty, sensuality and femininity of my models: this is what I want to communicate to the viewer. It is incredible to be able, with a painting, to spread emotions. This is what my art is made of: feelings!”
